Managing bookmarks

Bookmarks are the icon buttons that make up your grid. Each one has a name, a URL, and optional extras that control how it looks and how easily search finds it.

  1. Click New bookmark in the left sidebar.
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Name — the label shown under the icon.
    • URL — the address to open.
    • Keywords — optional extra terms so search can find the bookmark even when its name doesn’t match what you type.
    • Icon — picked automatically from the site’s favicon; you can choose a different one. See Icons & favicons.
    • Background color — optionally give the button a custom background.
    • Show title — untick to display the icon alone, without the name underneath.
  3. Save.

New bookmarks are created in the folder you currently have open, so navigate to the right folder first if you want it filed somewhere specific — or just drag it there later.

Click it. By default, bookmarks open in a new tab; you can switch to opening in the same tab in Settings.

Right-click the bookmark and choose Edit. You can change any field — name, URL, keywords, icon, background color, or title visibility.

Right-click the bookmark and choose Delete, then confirm. Deleting a bookmark only removes it from BookMark Pro — it doesn’t touch the website or your browser’s own bookmarks.

Drag bookmarks to reorder them within a folder or drop them onto a folder to move them inside. See Drag and drop.
